Hotel check-in from 3:30 p.m.
Afternoon:
3:30-4:30 p.m. After you check in and have your room assignment, join us at the Road Scholar table in the lobby to register with the program staff and get your welcome packet containing the up-to-date schedule that reflects any changes, other important information, and to confirm the time and location of the orientation session. If you arrive late, please ask for your packet when you check in.

Evening:
Orientation: The Group Leader will greet everyone and lead introductions. We will review the up-to-date program schedule, discuss roles and responsibilities, logistics, safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and answer questions. Periods in the schedule designated as “Free time” and “At leisure” offer opportunities to do what you like and make your experience even more meaningful and memorable according to your personal preferences. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions. Program activities, schedules, personnel, and indicated distances or times may change due to local circumstances/conditions. In the event of changes, we will alert you as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Nightly illumination of the Falls is from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

Shaw Backstage, Theatre Performance

Activity Note
Walking a few blocks, getting on/off motorcoach. Some stairs backstage at the theatre. Assistive Listening Devices are available in the theatre lobby, they can be used with or without a hearing aid.
Breakfast:
At the hotel.
Morning:
We transfer to Niagara-on-the-Lake for an introduction to the Shaw Festival and its history with a festival insider.
Lunch:
At a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
This afternoon we attend the performance of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Festival Theatre.
Dinner:
Dinner on own.
Evening:
At leisure. Nightly illumination of the Falls is from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

Activity Note
Walking up to 1 mile. Getting on/off a motorcoach. Assistive Listening Devices are available in the theatre lobby, they can be used with or without a hearing aid.

Morning:
We transfer to Niagara-on-the-Lake for an educational session at the Shaw Festival with an educational coordinator. We then explore the theatre warehouse and wardrobe props with Theatre Docent.
Lunch:
At a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
We will visit the Butterfly Conservatory for a self-guided excursion. This magical attraction features over 2,000 colourful tropical butterflies floating freely among lush, exotic blossoms and greenery. Paths wind through the rainforest setting, past a pond and waterfall and the Emergence window, where butterflies leave their pupae and prepare to take their first flight!

At a local restaurant.
Evening:
This evening we attend the performance of Anything Goes by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse at the Festival Theatre.

Today we will attend a performance of Major Barbara by Bernard Shaw at the Royal George Theatre followed by a post-show chat with ensemble members at The Festival Library.

Evening:
At leisure. Nightly illumination of the Falls is from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.
