After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Hotel Della Baia in Le Grazie
Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 6:30 p.m. Orientation followed by Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: If you have booked your flights on your own, or booked with RS and are arriving early to the program, please follow the directions below to get to the hotel: The most cost effective option to get from Pisa to Le Grazie is to take the Pisa Mover from the airport to Pisa Centrale (cost 5 Euros). From there you will take the train from Pisa Centrale to La Spezia. The cost of the train is approximately 10 Euros (subject to change), and takes about an hour. Once in La Spezia you can take a taxi to the hotel. Websites listed below for more information: http://pisa-mover.com/en/ and https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html This option should only be taken if you are confident carrying your own luggage and have some knowledge of Italian. Alternatively, a taxi from Pisa International Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA) to the hotel takes approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs approx. 255 Euros. There is no Uber service in Pisa/Cinque Terre. You can arrange a private transfer with Italian Details by emailing transfers@italiandetailsintl.com. They will also be able to assist in arranging pre-program nights at the Hotel Della Baia. Please check your spam if you do not receive a reply within 48 working hours.

Getting to the airport: If you have booked your flights on your own, or booked with RS and are staying beyond the end of the program, please follow the directions below to the airport: Take a taxi to La Spezia Centrale, and take the train to Pisa Centrale. Upon arrival to Pisa Centrale, take the Pisa Mover to Galileo Galiliei Airport (PSA). Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the hotel to Pisa International Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA), or you can arrange a private transfer with Italian Details.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
