If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Falls Hotel in Ennistymon.
Start of Trip: 12:30 p.m. lunch; 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:30 p.m. Welcome Meeting & Orientation; 6:30 p.m. Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: A taxi from the airport to the hotel should typically cost approximately EUR100 (2023 prices) for a journey of approximately 32 miles. Travelling to the hotel by bus requires a change in Ennis. The journey should typically cost between EUR16 and EUR20 (2023 prices). Bus routes 51 and 343 run from the airport (bus stop B) to Ennis Bus Station; route 51 buses have Cork Bus Station as their final destination, and route 343 buses have Limerick Bus Station as their final destination. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with departures on each route approximately once per hour. From Ennis Bus Station, take bus route 350 to Ennistymon (this bus route has Galway Bus Station as its final destination); the journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with departure times subject to change – please see buseireann.ie for the timetable. Upon arrival in Ennistymon, walk approximately 600 feet north along Main Street to the crossroads with Parliament Street, where you will see a signpost pointing left to the hotel. Follow the road for about 900 feet to the hotel.
Getting to the site by train or bus: The journey by bus from Shannon Airport to Ennistymon involves two changes. We advise using the group transfer. Buses are available from Dublin hotel to the airport. Your group leader can advise you.

End of Trip: 10:00 a.m. after breakfast; 11:00 a.m. hotel check-out.
Getting to the airport: Aircoach offers services from Dublin city to Dublin Airport; your Group Leader will advise you on how best to use these services. The fare is typically EUR8 (2023 prices). A taxi to the airport from central Dublin should typically cost approximately EUR20-25 (2019 prices), dependent upon city traffic.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Road Scholar will also make arrangements to transfer participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. Please note that our program coordinator in Ireland, EIL will be in contact with you by email to check your arrival plans with you. They will usually be in touch within 2 weeks of your program start date. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
