After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.

A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

No additional inoculations are required for entry into the Baltic states. Any precautionary shots recommended by the CDC should be discussed with your personal physician. The CDC website is: www.cdc.gov.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn

Start of Trip:  3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:30 p.m. Orientation; 6:30 p.m. Welcome Dinner.

Getting to the site: Taxis are available outside the TLL Tallinn Airport to help you reach your program hotel. The journey should take approximately 15 minutes and cost you between 10 – 16 USD (10 – 15 €). For those interested in a public transportation alternative to your hotel, there is a bus option available. The tram is currently closed due to maintenance until further notice. If you would like to take a bus to your hotel, the bus stop is located on the city side of the passenger terminal. Buses run every 15 minutes between the hours of 4:55 AM – 11:50 PM (Mon-Sun). The stop at the airport is called “Lennunjaam (airport) (Lennujamma tee)”, and you should take Bus No. 2 in the direction of the City Center, or “Balti jam (train station)”, for six stops until “Kaubamaja”. This journey should take approximately 16 minutes. Once in “Kaubamaja”, your hotel can be found a short 7-minute walk away. If you would prefer, you can also take Bus No. 15 in the direction of the City Center, or “Estonia”, for nine stops until “Estonia”. This journey should take approximately 19 minutes. Once in “Estonia”, your hotel can be found a short 8-minute walk away. You can purchase your ticket online at https://tallinn.pilet.ee/buy or from an authorized retailer. Drivers do not sell tickets. Tickets cannot be purchased with cash. A single-ride ticket costs 2€ per person. Your trip ends on: Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Vilnius at Novotel Vilnius Centre

End of Trip: After breakfast; 12:00 Noon hotel check-out.

Getting to the airport: Taxis to the VNO Vilnius Airport are available from your program hotel. The journey should take approximately 20 minutes and cost you between 21 – 26 USD (20 -25 €). Ask the hotel to help you make these arrangements. For those interested in a public transportation alternative to the airport, there are two bus options. Express bus 3G runs every 10 minutes between the hours of 5:30 AM – 11:30 PM (Mon-Fri), and its stop is located a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Board the bus on stop “Juozo Tumo-Vaizganto St.” in the direction of “Oro Uostas” and ride for 7 stops until the final stop of “Oro Uostas”. The journey should take approximately 20 minutes and will leave you directly in front of the arrivals of Terminal A/B of the airport. Regular bus number 88 runs every 20-30 minutes between the hours of 6:00 AM – 10:30 PM (Mon-Fri) and 6:00 AM – 11:30 PM (Sat-Sun), and its stop is located a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Board the bus on stop “Vinco Kudirkos Aikste” in the direction of “Oro Uostas” and ride for 7 stops until the final stop of “Oro Uostas”. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes and leave you directly in front of Terminal A/B of the airport. The same bus has a nighttime equivalent called 88N that runs on the same route between the hours of 11:30 PM -5:30 AM (Mon-Sun). Bus tickets can be paid to the bus driver directly with cash, the cost for a single ticket is 1 € per person. Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
