After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
Volunteers are required to obtain an Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). Apply at: https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/fingerprint for IVP/Tutor. Contact info at AZ DPS is fingerprint@azdps.gov or (602) 223-2279. Participants must email a copy of their valid fingerprint clearance card to roadscholaroperations@nau.edu at least 1 month in advance of the program start date or fax a clear copy to 928-523-5991. Volunteers must also bring this valid fingerprint clearance card with them in order to volunteer at the host school. Please call Northern Arizona University Road Scholar at 928-523-2359 as soon as possible if you are having difficulties securing this clearance.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

PROGRAM START: This is the FIRST of TWO shuttles required to get from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to the Cameron Trading Post. Check Groome Transportation for departure times PRIOR to booking flights. On the first day of the program, the latest Groome Shuttle you can take from the Phoenix airport is the 12:00 pm departure, arriving at the Flagstaff Visitor Center/Amtrak by 3:20 pm. From the Flagstaff Visitor Center you will connect with the 3:30 pm Road Scholar van that will transport you to the Cameron Trading Post. (Cost for NAU shuttle to Cameron is $25 one/way) Note: If you fly into the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, the Road Scholar van will also pick up here. (Important: specify this pickup location on your NAU Road Scholar email reservation). PROGRAM END: For fastest arrival into the Phoenix Airport, we recommend booking the 9:30 a.m. Groome Shuttle departing from the Flagstaff Visitor Center arrival into the Phoenix airport at 12:40 p.m. NOTE: shuttle times subject to change.

Cameron Trading Post from Phoenix I-17
I-17 begins in Phoenix. N on I-17 to junction with I-40 exit 340 E, Albuquerque. Stay on I-40 E for a short 6 miles to exit 201, US 89 N to Page, AZ. Stay on 89 N for 53 miles to Cameron, AZ. Cameron Trading Post and Lodge is on your left on the banks of the Little Colorado River canyon.

Take I-40 to Flagstaff. In East Flagstaff, take exit 201, Page, AZ, US 89 N. Stay on 89 N for 53 miles to Cameron, AZ. Cameron Trading Post and Lodge is on your left on the banks of the Little Colorado River Canyon.

PROGRAM START: This is the SECOND shuttle required to get from the Phoenix airport to the Cameron Trading Post Motel. The Road Scholar van will depart the Flagstaff Amtrak/Visitor Center at 3:30 pm on the program's start date (cost: $25 one way - paid to NAU upon pick-up). We will wait for the arrival of the 12:00 pm Groome Shuttle from the Phoenix airport, which arrives to the Flagstaff Amtrak/Visitor Center at 3:20 pm. PROGRAM CONCLUSION: Immediately after your program ends, the Road Scholar shuttle will return you back to Flagstaff Amtrak/Visitor Center by 9:15 am (cost: $25 one way) in time to connect with the 9:30 am Groome Shuttle to the Phoenix Airport arriving by 12:40 pm, book your flights accordingly. The Road Scholar van will then drop off at the Flagstaff airport.
