From the site of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, to the medieval Old City and from historic traditions to the cosmopolitan life of today, the Greek island of Rhodes is rich with discoveries. Take a journey into the past on this immersive exploration of Rhodes during the off season, when most of the tourists have gone home and the weather is quite mild. Walk in the footsteps of the ancient world, take in vibrant sea vistas from the Acropolis of Lindos and delve into the magic of medieval history while strolling through the Old City of Rhodes. Engage in a traditional dance class, learn about the art of the magnificent pebble mosaics, meet the locals and discover how communities coexisted for centuries, developing their traditional customs that survive today.
Best of all, you'll...
  • Walk along the port of Mandraki where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood.
  • Explore Ancient Kamiros and delve into the archaeology of this city-state dating back thousands of years.
  • Join a local craftsman who will teach you the secrets of the art of pebble mosaics.
