1st - Train - from Rome airport to Termini Train Station.
The Leonardo express, non-stop service dedicated exclusively to airport passengers to/from Roma Termini with departures every 15 minutes and travel time of 32 minutes*
The FL1 regional line trains from/to other Rome stations, with departures every 15 minutes on working days and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays.
2nd - Train: from Rome Termini Train Station to Bagni di Tivoli train station. The train connects 3 hour and 7 days a week

3rd - Bus PE714 or PE716: from Bagni di Tivoli bus stop to Sulmona.
4th - The ride from the bus station in Sulmona to the Hotel Ovidius is about 3 minutes by car or 20 minutes' walk (0.9 miles).

Your trip ends on: Thursday, April 16, 2026 in Roma Fiumicino at Hotel Isola Sacra
End of Trip: 10:00 a.m. after breakfast; 11:00 a.m. hotel check-out.
Getting to the airport: The Isola Sacra Hotel provides bus shuttle every 30 minutes and 7 days a week from the hotel to Rome-Fiumicino airport.
Reservation of the service should be made at the front desk. The cost is about € 8 per person.
The ride is about 10 minutes.
Taxi: The ride from the Isola Sacra Hotel in Fiumicino to Rome-Fiumicino Airport is about 10 minutes.

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are eligible to take advantage of the designated group transfers:
Arrivals: transfers from the airport to the start location will take place between 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 3pm on the first scheduled day of the program.
Departures: transfers from the end location to the airport will take place between 6am and 8am on the last scheduled day of the program. The airport is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel, your flight must depart no earlier than 9am.
Participants must notify Road Scholar of their flight arrangements no later than 30 days prior to departure by calling 1-800-454-5768. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6:30pm ET.
Meeting point #1 at the arrival area of the Terminal 3 at Rome-Fiumicino airport.
Your site coordinator will be waiting in the arrival area of the Terminal 3, holding a Road Scholar sign.
After you collect your luggage, you go through the sliding doors and the meeting point #1 will be on your left.
If your flight is delayed or cancelled causing the flight to be outside of the designated transfer times, please contact your Group Leader.
